MAINTENANCE

      FORKS

Fork seals can leak for a multitude of reason. Most common however, is dirt and debris getting stuck to the chrome part of the fork leg. When this happens friction against debris can cuts the seal when the suspension is traveling.

Tip: When you are done washing your bike wipe the fork legs clean. This will allow your fork seals to last years instead of months.

      ENGINE LIFE

The most common cause of engine failure is lack of or improper air filter maintenance.

Tip: On machines operating in the dirt, clean and oil the air filter every 3 to 5 hours of operation. Even if your machine sits for more than a couple months service... it's filter.

      WHEELS & TIRES

Tires lose air over time. This is normal! We need to maintain tire pressure to prevent flats, improve handling, and extend tire and wheel life.

Tip: On dirt bikes check your tire pressure before every ride. Dirt bike tire pressure should be between 13 and 16 pounds depending on terrain. On street machines and ATV's check your tire pressure every two weeks. It will shock you how much your handling improves.

Here at Moto Mike's we stress the importance of preventative maintenance. A clean bike is a happy bike and a happy rider!!! Follow these tips below to keep your bike, or off road vehicle in the best condition possible.
